I just found a cicada about to molt and got a really good series of it. this was between 4 and 5 pm this afternoon - there have to be hundreds of thousands out there and I guess this one's timing was a little off.

Thanks for the very cool photo of a Magicicada teneral from Brood XIX. The photo is excellent. So clear and crisp. Thanks for sharing.

I would still expect to see more nymphs emerging to go through the ecdysis process.
