Cicada in Worcester MA

I was just looking on your sight trying to identify this injured bug I took a picture of at work. I think it might be a type of Cicada but not sure can you identify it? This was taken off of Lincoln Street in Worcester MA, sometime last week.

Hi Shawn

No, that is not a cicada. This is what's known as a Giant Water Bug Lethocerus griseus. It is also commonly known as the Eastern Toe Biter. These actually prefer water.

Thanks for sharing.
