Mass Emergence in Murfreesboro, TN

First noticed them on the 11th. Now you can find them everywhere around. There favorite tree around here seems to be the Bradford Pear. The photos are of the swarm outside my house this morning.

Hi William,

Man that is a ton of cicadas! You really must be in the thick of it now. I can't help noticing that they seem to be congregating under lights. Not just periodicals but even annual cicadas can be readily found under lights especially on warm and human nights. Thanks for sharing your photos and giving us a data point.
