This little guy was dead when I found him. Not sure where he came from but I didn't even know cicadas were being seen in MA this summer.

Thanks for the photo and information. This is a female Tibicen lyricen cicada. One of the two most common species we have here in Massachusetts.

Actually, we have several types of annual cicadas that appear in Massachusetts every year. They are those insects that make the strange noises coming from the trees.
