Hi Patricia,

Thanks for the cool photo of a Tibicen lyricen cicada. I can tell from this view and the shape of the abdomen, that this specimen is a female.

You are correct that often times cicadas are often heard and not seen. Thanks for sharing your photo and contributing to their distribution.

haha me too live in norton 13 years never saw on til this morning. searched internet to see what it was freaky but cool looking bug!
