hello i found this bug in attleboro mass i did not know a ting about it untill i went on your site its not moving it fell from a tree

Hey Brian

Thanks for the email. This is the species known as T. lyricen. This one looks to be female judging by the shape of the abdomen. What probably happened was that she got done laying eggs in the tree above you and then shortly thereafter, died. That's the normal course for these cicadas I'm afraid.
